Why isn't my virtual families store working?

In my virtual families game there is nothing in the square with the clothes in the store and I have changed the generations many times btw I have the iPod version

Are there any safe sites to play virtual family game for free or reasonable price?

I really like playing the Virtual Family and Virtual villagers computer game. I have done the free 60 minute download on Yahoo. But I don't have credit cards so I can't get the game myself. I know there are sites where I can play it, but I don't know if they carry viruses are not.
